Laughing cracks in the walls stare down at me and I don't know what they're laughing for
I lift my head and look in one direction but am abruptly pulled back to the opposite one
I think I'm happy so I smile but it just seems to come and go
And the constant torturous confusion doesn't want to cease at all
I turn back again and try the first way once more but find myself at another dead end so I'm forced to turn back
Going back everything seems to be pulling me down but it's not the everything that is pulling me down – it's me
I think of the first path again but the dead end blocks any further thoughts
I think of the latter path then but the torture puts me back to the start
So hey, look at me, I'm just a girl trapped in between
Look at me, look at me, although looking will not help and will further tie me down to the start
